I personal a Schumacher battery charger which has now has no out put. Exactly Where can I get a schematic drawing for this charger? Model # SC-600A
Thanks MasTec, currently been to Schumaher site, never require a manual. I need to have a schematic drawing of the internal electronics.
I just mounted my Good battery (Group 75) on the Jaguar, that is “6 Months” Old.. acquired rid of the one i poured the Acid out of and all.. that one was also 4 a long time Old.
I remember a person declaring that when Charging the Battery with tiny chargers these kinds of as that, the Voltage might not be right in excess of a particular position (Near Full) and “Damage” the Battery…
.. so must i cost it up to ONLY the 75% mark on it, and let the ALTERNATOR cost it the rest, Once the BELT tightens up and it Handed the CHARGING test?
i also didnt Include any BATTERY ACID to this Battery, and the Degree is Proper at in which the Holes stop, Depth-wise.. you are declaring DONT add ANY Pre-Mixed (36% S04, the relaxation Water) Battery Acid to “Top it off” a 1/4 inch?
Thanks! – Joseph/Binky with the 1985 Jaguar XJ6
It has Caps on the top.. Does that nonetheless indicate “No” -DONT- Best off with Battery Acid, even 1/4″
I need some type of charger to keep the battery on my atv fully charged through the winter.Anyone have any experience with these 2 types of chargers.Which is better?Price isnt a problem but if they are pretty much the same, then why pay 20 bucks more?
Battery Tender Plus— $39.95 new on Ebay
Battery Companion—$19.00 at Wal-Mart
Thanks guys for all the good info.I think i will go with the Battery Tender and spend the extar cash. All your answers are good so i’ll let this go for a vote.Thanks.
The battery charger comes on, but wont charge. It wont power a 12v light, and it wont spark if you touch the terminals together quickly. I dont know what the deal is? It doesn’t work with the switches in any position (2, 12, or 75 amps, or in regular or deep cycle mode).
There is a dim green light that comes on when the charger is plugged in, as well as a bright yellow light. The dim green light turns bright green when connected to a battery or when the terminals are touched together. The charging indicator needle doesn’t move, ever.
Anyone got any ideas? I used a jumper wire to jump across the circuit breaker inside the battery charger and that did not change anything, so thats not it.
i just got a schumacher xcs15 and i put it to charge my battery and checked the voltage with a multimeter and it reads 16v is this too much,i disconnected a few times to see if it will reset since its automatic but same reading,so i tried my older schumacher charger and that reads 14.4 and i know this is acceptable or maybe up too 15,but i dont know about 16v up to 16.3 it reads….please answer if you konw about this…thanks in advance

I need a portable battery charger for my car. I want something that can charge the battery, not just jump the car. (if it needs to be plugged in while charging, that’s ok). Give me links to products if you have them.

I have a Peak brand portable battery jump-start system, which has a built-in battery designed to jump-start 12v DC automotive batteries. It works well in this capacity, but I wonder if it can do more. The system charges from a power supply cord that plugs in to a household AC outlet. If I leave the system plugged in to an AC outlet, might I be able to connect the system to my car battery and charge up the car battery so that I don’t have to jump-start it later?

I just bought 2 Optima blue top batteries for our boat. (One starting battery-SC34M & one deep cycle battery-SC31DM) and want to know what is the best battery charger/maintainer I should buy for these? My price range is $100-$150
I used to have a portable battery charger you could use in emergency situations. I was able to charge the charger and keep it handy to use without having to plug it into an outlet during charging. I had it for years until we were in a flood and that was the end of that. I bought a new charger(Schumacher XC6 6/4/2-Amp Battery Charger ) and I am not sure if you can use it to charge the battery without having it plugged in to an electric outlet at the same time. Does anyone know how to use a Schumacher XC6 6/4/2-Amp Battery Charger? Does it need to be plugged into an outlet or can you charge it beforehand for when you need to charge your battery and there is no outlet?
i have a Schumacher battery charger 1 Amp 6&12volt charger and a Autocraft marine battery Deep Cycle Atoc 12volts. can i use the car charger on the marine battery?
thanks
I have a Schumacher SC-600A SpeedCharge High Frequency Battery Charger, a wall plug-in car charger. It has 2, 4, 6 amp and 6 and 12 V settings.
Can I jump my car with this?
Would I just plug in the charger to the wall with it on, and try to start my car?
I’ve left the car charger plugged-in for nearly all night. My car battery is at 75% charge now. It’s a Buick Park Avenue, early 2000s. My lights will start and doors unlock with remote, but when I try to start it, I get a “click click click” and the front car lights turn on. Engine won’t start.

I’m thinking of buying a schumacher or battery maintainer brand battery maintainer and I was wondering if it would charge my dead battery. At least, I’m pretty sure it’s dead.
