.

Pianos are very versatile musical tools which can be applied to any type of music, from traditional folk to modern-day music. This can be used to create different genres of music. For many decades, musical concerts have been organized where the best piano players have showcased their talents and skills on the piano, while accompanied by other instruments or on their own.

In addition, many musical schools have helped children and adults become very good pianists, accompanying different types of music. Different music competitions organized by different organizations has also led to the diversity of piano playing coming out in great fashion. Jazz is one type of music where the incorporation of a piano has resulted into very entertaining music.

Today, you will hear a piano being played in the background of many types of modern music like Rock and Roll, Hip Hop, Country Music, Pop, Rhythm and Blues, Techno and many others.

I set my friends on fire – Things That Rhyme With Orange was a song I really liked even though it was screamo. I really liked this one song. I’ve always hated screamo music and I realize how much my question doesn’t make sense. ;) level with me. Imagine the song without the screaming. I really think there still is a pattern of screamo “type” music there. Does anyone know how to help someone like me looking for this type of music without the yelling? lol – Screamo music for the non-screamo music fans?

I’ve been playing the flute for 7 years now and I plan on majoring in music performance in college. As a summer job that would give me opportunities to perform in public, I thought I’d apply to some of the fancier restaurants in my town and ask if they would like a musician. Before I do that, though, I’ll need a variety of different works. I thought I’d use some pop music, classical favorites, modern pieces, and genres like that to perform.

I was thinking about Carnivale di Venezia (Carnival of Venice) by Briccialdi/Delorenzo, Syrinx by Debussy, Three Preludes for Unaccompanied Flute by Muczynski, Suite in A Minor by Telemann, and some songs from James Galway’s CDs “The Wind Beneath My Wings” and “The Very Best of James Galway.” I plan to learn those by ear.

Two questions: Is this enough? I don’t really think it is, so if not, what else might be good choices? Preferably, they would have no piano accompaniment, because I won’t have one, unless I can find someone.

    Thanks!

We’re doing a skit in drama and I need the music for it. It’s played in one of the lion king movies when Simba and the meerkat are having a snail-eating contest. If that helps…

I appreciate any help. Preferably a link to youtube or something
    Thanks =)

Why is modern music generally just twaddle except for groups like the Beatles, Queen, and ABBA. Twaddle music is usually tuneless and without merit or melody so why is this?

I’ve heard some people condemn it since it mimics rock or pop music, I guess the criticism being those forms of secular music display a “world view” versus a Biblical one. But frankly, I know of people who were saved at Third Day and Newsong concerts…how can people be critical of this genre of music if it results in the Kingdom being glorified and bringing people closer to God? Thoughts?
I think we need to pitch in and buy lez_paul a knob for his radio…clearly he can’t change the channels from that awful music he hates so much.
Interesting answers. So I guess that means that gospel music is wrong too? We should all sit stone faced in church, droning out the same version of “Bringing In The Sheaves” every Sunday? Like I said…interesting.
I find doglover3000′s comments most illustrating. She condemns the genre and then asks what ‘saved’ means. I’m guessing she answered the question without knowing what she was actually talking about. Gotta love someone who has that much time on their hands that they can place their bigotry on display.

What’s a good song that a girl can do for a solo? I can’t hit super low notes but I can reach pretty high on the scale. On average my voice is in the middle. Does anyone know any good songs for my music class?

Who are the most important composers of each style?
Who are some famous composers who wrote in more than one style?

Is classical music separated into “genres” mostly by the time period, or are there composers who are considered to play a style different from the dominant style of the day?
Is there such thing as “niche” styles within classical music? If so what would be an example?
I know it’s a bit silly of me because this is Yahoo and it’s often used for homework, but I felt bad about your sarcasm (i. jones) and assuming I’m slacking off my schoolwork. I’m graduated from highschool, am not in college, and am asking for my own curiosity’s sake. I’ve been feeling more drawn to classical music lately and am trying to figure out a basic understanding of the genre and how things within it operate. I suppose it is my personality that makes me asks questions so formally that you believed me to be cheating on my homework.
