Selling Gold and Getting Cash for Gold in order to buy New Jewelry

Most families buy gold in the hope of getting cash for gold whenever they face a financial constraint. Unless you are stinking rich, it is inevitable that you will face difficult times where your bank account could not manage. This is the time you need to dispose of your gold jewelry and get the required amount of money.

In some cities selling gold has caught up so well these days that people hold parties to sell gold. Sellers and buyers meet in these parties and the exchanges are done under party atmosphere. These parties are so well organized that you need to send an application and register beforehand.

Even if you are not in financial difficulty you have the option to sell your old jewelry and out dated gold watches at these parties and convert them into money. With the realized cash, you have the option to buy new jewelry with more up to date designs.

I would like to sell some gold jewelry that I have. In total, the weight is about 4 ounces. What would this sell for if I were to sell it to a jeweler, pawn broker or gold buyer. Thank you

I wanna buy it and resell it to a company like “Cash 4 Gold.” But I need to know if I’m getting any up on the deal.

I don’t want to walk blindly into a jewelry store that advertises that they buy gold jewelry without having some kind of idea of what to expect. I figure I should go to several and then pick the best price, but I don’t know anything about gold pricing, etc.

The value of the american dollar WILL dramatically decrease. The only people left that will be able to survive buying food and other things will be those who have accumilated gold and silver. IF this is the truth, doesn’t it make sense that the company cash4gold will willingly spend money to buy gold and silvers off of you?

I was at the local pawn shop the other day and they had a snub nose S&W 38 Special revolver in the case. I belive it was a model 36, it was blued steel, and in used but good condition. He was asking $425, but said he would give it too me for $375, is this a good deal?
I’m in western WV, I recently moved here and the odd thing is that there are not many gun shops around here but the pawn shops are almost at least half guns. The one in town claims they have over 1100 guns in stock.

I’ve never owned gold jewelry before lt alone held it in my hands in till today. I want to be sure that I don’t hurt it so here are some questions.

I have a 24 carat gold bracelet and necklace from Greece:

    1) Can I sleep with it on?

    2) Can I shower with it on?

    3) Does it break easily?

    4)How can I clean it?

    5) Does it scratch?

If you could answer even one of these I would be grateful!

I know they send out forms for cash if you deposit over $10,000, but what about if you deposit checks?

I know it sounds kind of shady, but I buy & sell gold & silver coins a lot (did not really make any profit but more as a hobby/collection). Often the coins sell for over $10k and people give me checks and I deposit them. I’m kind of concerned because I had a really busy trading year and I was wondering if the IRS gets sent something every time I deposit or spend over $10k in the form of a PERSONAL check?

I just don’t want to get audited, not that there is anything to hide. I just don’t want the experience of that even though its all explainable. Anyway, do they mail out a form every time a CHECK over $10k is deposited or spent?

    Thanks
tro, I thought that was JUST FOR GREEN CASH. Is it for checks too?
