Are there a good review websites about Microwave Ovens that aren’t complicated?
I am looking for both a Microwave oven and a Grill. I was wondering has anyone got experiences with any models in the USA? I am based in Florida. Money is not realy an object, I just want a good one as I live a busy Life.

How is it that microwave ovens can heat food more quickly than conventional ovens?
    A. microwaves give energy directly to the molecules in the food.
    B. conventional ovens must conduct heat from the surface to the interior of the food.
    C. microwaves heat the inside as well as the surface of the food.
    D. all of the above.

This was something which i didn’t notice for a long time but one day i was about to warm a cup of milk in microwave oven. I set timer to 30 sec but after 20 sec i stopped it and again pressed start button. i noticed that plate which was rotating clockwise , started rotating anti clockwise. I repeated this activity and found the same pattern . Can any one tell me the reason behind this. Later i also verified with microwave ovens of different makes.

Most people have microwave ovens now. Food is bombarded with radiation and then people eat it. Surely this could cause cancer?
Is there any scientific basis for my theory or am I completely wrong.
I’ll be glad to admit it if I’m wrong.

I’m going to run with the wild assumption that microwave ovens use microwaves to do the heating. Microwaves are electromagnetic waves with a lower frequency than even visible light. I’m pretty well surrounded by visible light and it certainly isn’t making /me/ very crispy; I wonder, therefore, how microwave ovens using an E&M wave with an even lower frequency than light can heat food.
    In response to Darnelli:
I feel kinda stupid now. After you mentioned that I totally remembered it. It heats the water molecules. That little detail had slipped my mind; it makes a lot more sense now. Thank you.

I usually use the dish for tomato aspic. A heart shape dish. It came from my Mom. I think she shaped it on her grinding wheel from Marble or a stone that resembles marble! I was told stone can’t be used in Microwave Ovens.. is that correct or wrong?

We’ve bought four microwave ovens over the years that have all busted within a few years. The one we’re using now is impossible to work with and has a kinda broken dial. What brands make good microwave ovens and where can I get one?
