I want to clean pools for summers job. How much is the price that people are supposed to charge for the cleaning? I already have a person that wants me 3 times a week. How much!?
We have quite a build up of calcium type deposit on our 4 year old pool tiles.
We just got an estimate and information on soda blasting, which we had never heard of but sounds GREAT… a little pricey though.
Anyone have any knowledable information about either type?
Okay here’s what happened: my spa has a tile-covered waterfall along the back. I cleaned the tile with Tilex brand tile cleaner. It contains phosphoric acid but the label did not mention detergents. I used perhaps 1/4 – 1/2 cup for 2 8′X6′ panels of tile.
When I turned on the jets (it doesn’t foam when the waterfall is on) the soap bubbles were so deep they looked like some slapstick comedy routine Kramer from Seinfeld would find himself in. All I needed was a horse to feed some Beef-a-reeno to and I was set.
Any ideas – short of draining the spa – on how to reduce the foaming? My pool guy is out of town for a week and a half on vacation. Thanks, fellow spa owners/pool maintenance people!
I own a small pool service and repair company in Vegas and am wanting to add tile cleaning to my service options. Does anyone know the best equipment to purchase?
Thanks in advance!
I need pool service (I just work too much to do it myself). I am looking for someone affordable, professional and brings their own chemicals. Any suggestions welcome.
I am babysitting my little cousins (6 and
with my 2 other cousins. We want to do a fun spa with them, but don’t have much money to spend. What are some spa scrubs or lotions that we can make at home with household items?
Whats the best product to use to remove stains around the tile rim of a swimming pool. The stains are not that bad, but above the water line the tile and grout are a little darker.
I cant remember which product to use to clean that.

I dug the knife deeper into my uncle’s chest with such fierce determination, that his weak attempts to stave me off were in vain.
It only took one thing to push me over the edge. To stop being the defenceless little girl I had been moments before.
I smiled for the first time in years as blood; hot and sticky streamed down my arms. I pondered how one person could hold so much blood in their body as a sharp metallic smell entered my nostrils.
Pushing down on the handle, I turned and angled the sharp edge of the blade upwards.
I could feel it as it pierced his heart.
Crumpling to a heap on the floor, his groans doubling up, I wrenched the knife from his body. A pool of crimson slowly expanded around him, seeping into the gaps of the white tiles that had been spotlessly clean just moments before.
My hands were steady as I clutched more tightly to the now blood covered knife.
I watched with an immense feeling of satisfaction as my uncle’s ragged breathing finally stopped and his glassy eyes, usually filled with so much anger and hatred, reflected what he could no longer see.
The only noise I could hear was the gentle hum of the refrigerator, and the sound of blood dripping steadily off the tip of the blade shining with blood, reflecting the light from the ceiling into my eyes with a dull red glow.
I had some tiles come off on the pool and I got a good look at some stains on the tiles. There is a white crust resembling lime scale the other I have no Idea. It looks like it may be organic or a metal stain. Does anybody know what for sure they are and how to clean them. I tried acid and LOL CLR with very little help.
Here is a link to a pick of one of the tiles with the worst staining. http://s1259.photobucket.com/albums/ii543/delanos53/?action=view¤t=_MG_1183.jpg
Thanks in advance.
The brown stain may be under the glaze. What ever it is it very hard. I used steel wool on an old damaged tile and it didn’t seem to have any affect
The morons at ODOT decided to add Calcium Chloride to their road salt mix here in NE Ohio over the winter. It has penetrated the pores in my garage floor and won’t wash out. This stuff is extremely highly corrosive to steel. IT SHOULD BE BANNED and OUTLAWED!!!!! as there are more enviromentally friendly substitutes out there.
My bathroom has yellow tiles from the middle of it’s walls to the floor, what colors can I combine to make it look better (since I have to deal with them any how).
They look lke this: http://www.oddlyenoughmosaics.com/images/Ceramic%20-%20C111%20Yellow.JPG

Presently, I use a pumice stone which was sold to me by a pool store. What alot of unnecessary hard labor! There must be an easier solution. So far everything that I’ve been told to try has failed. Who knows what will work? Please no wives-tales!
My pool hasn’t been touched for 6 months now. The filter hasn’t been running or anything. All of the water is completely brown/black and I’m pretty sure there are leaves covering the bottom of the pool. It’s an average sized family pool.
How much do you think it would cost me to have a pool cleaning company come clean it and get it to where it’s swimmable again?
Some pool tiles from our inground pool have fallen off (the ones at the water line) I wanted to reattach them. What is the correct grout/materials to use?
Also, I have drained some of the water. Is there any other prep?
I don’t want to adversely effect my pool water by using a wrong chemical. I just want to clean the outside of the glass to rid it of the white smokey haze. I believe the cause is splash from the waterfall over the glass from my spa to my pool. The white haze will not rub off. It currently covers only portions of the glass, but I believe it will eventually cover all the glass, dulling the look of the spa, especially at night when I turn on the spa light. I need ideas to erase or remove the offending build up on the glass.

My bathroom tile is a dark brown with black grout- it is such a great combination, but now looks awful because of the nasty soap scum that has accumulated. I have been in the pool almost every day for the past month -not knowing there was a dead pigeon in there in the skimmer basket . When my pool service didn’t show up for a month , I cancelled them ; and could not figure out why the pool was getting green .The pigeon is in lots of pieces and I wonder if anyone ever dealt with this sort of thing? How do you disinfect something like this ; and how do you ever go back into the water ?The health department told me not to call my doctor unless I get sick .I am thinking back to a few weeks ago I started seeing small white fluffy feathery things in the water twice ….How much chlorine is needed to kill all traces of this ?
I am looking for someone who has experience to help me out. I am looking into the pool cleaning business but first would like to research it.
where can i buy pool cleaning equipment, what will i need? what chemicals would i need?
Thanks in advance
i have a pool that is pebble tech bottom but tile around the water line. its a darker color tile and i have a white (calcium?) buildup around the whole pool. How do i get rid of it?!?! i tried a pool soap that said it worked but DIDNT, and I tried CLR but it didnt seem to work either. any help?
Is it easier to maintain a saltwater system? What investment would I have to make? Any advice welcome.
Everytime I spend time in the swimming pool I get blood shot eyes and also my eyes get sore as well. Sometimes I get a headache too. why is this?
im 13 and i just wrote this, please rate 1-10
any advice or tips??
My legs throbbed as I slapped the swimming pool wall with both hands. I was lightheaded, gasping for every last bit of air, as I looked over to see which position I had placed. Everyone else was not only already out of the pool, but were already drying off by the sidelines. Their glaring eyes caused a numbing sense of humiliation. I gathered up my remaining strength to try and climb out of the pool. Arms wobbly from the exertion, they shook and trembled, as I failed to leave the pool on the first attempt.
As I sunk under the surface, my embarrassment and rage took over and I forced myself out of the pool on the second try, staggering to where my trainer stood. His heavyset body and ruffled black hair was all a blur to me. As I moved closer and closer to him I could feel my nerves building up. His arms were crossed over his chest. I felt as though I was approaching Hitler after I had just lost a battle.
My nerves got the best of me and before I knew it I was bent over the sickening white linoleum tiles with my mouth tasting like the beef lasagne I had for lunch. What I saw on the floor also looked like the lasagne that only an hour before was sitting on my plate, it was just missing the little basil leaf on top. I didn’t want to look up. I couldn’t cope with their glaring eyes all fixated on me again. I just wanted to dig a hole into the ground and hide until the stands were empty. I fought to block out all the disgusted remarks I could hear. I could feel the staring eyes poking holes through me, a warm tear slide down my cheek.
Once again I plucked up all the courage and bravery I had in me and sprinted for the big double doors that led to safety. Even at the speed I was running at, I caught a glimpse of myself in the reflection of the tall doors. I almost died of embarrassment.
My long brunette hair was sticking out in places it shouldn’t, and it looked like I had dreadlocks from the water clumping all the strands together. Hanging from the bottom of one was a big chunk of beef. I had prominent red rings around my eyes from where my goggles were sitting, and my skin was as white as a sheet. I looked like I had drowned and come back to life.
I heard the sound of my name ringing in my ear. “Lola! Lola! Wait up!” The unmistakable rustic voice came from my best friend Daniela.
I didn’t want to talk to anyone at a time like this, not even Dani.
I shoved the door open and continued running into the frosty night air to where my little black Vauxhall TwinTop sat. I wrestled with the car door to open it but it wouldn’t budge.
“You have to unlock it first,” I jumped at the sound of Dani’s voice.
I unlocked the door and without a second glance at her, I drove off.

The next day didn’t go so well either. I was late for English, got almost every answer on my maths Pop Quiz wrong and got partnered up with Jeanie McBride for biology. Jeanie McBride wasn’t the sort of girl you wanted to get partnered up with for anything. She was uncoordinated in PE, inaudible in drama, had no imagination in English and when it came to Maths, she was so brainy that none of us could keep up with her. On top of all this, her lunchbox reeked; it smelt like the fridge when it hasn’t been cleaned out for months. Biology today was some experiment or other and Jeanie’s lunchbox was as badly behaved as ever. Little wafts of toxic sandwich stink drifted past my nostrils every time she reached out to grab a test tube.
When the ring of the lunch bell deafened my ears, the saying ‘Saved by the bell’ popped into my head. I really was saved by the bell, if I had had to spend five more minutes intoxicated with her stench I would be passed out on the bio floor. I grabbed my things and bulldozed everyone over as I plunged for the door, desperate to inhale the fresh air.
We have one of those 3 ft inflatable pools, we’ve treated it with pool shocker 4 in 1, the spa tablets, and even clean the filter everyday with bleach. But the pool is still green, what’s wrong and how do we fix it.
Please help?
I need to clean our spa bath, is there tablets or chemicals you get to clean it?

How should i set the skimmer/pool drain valves? Should i turn off the pool drain and have all the water being sucked from one skimmer? or keep both skimmers sucking in water and leave the drain off?
Our automatic pool cleaner is not working correctly and i have never had to manually clean the pool before :-/
I’m looking for some background on tattoo artist in orange county. Like how good they are?If their better at color or black and white? How much they charge? Just the basics.
If you could give me a link to the website that would be great.
Thanks in advance.
I live an Orange County, California. To be more exact, I live in Huntington Beach.
So do you know any good shops near me?
In a salt water pool with a waterfall, what’s the best way to remove salt residue from a tile surface? The waterfall splashes against the tile and the tile becomes stained. Are there any safe products that can remove the salt residue without damaging the tile
I have treated my pool for everything from phosphates to algae and now when I test it, the chemicals all check out good but it says I have low free chlorine. I cant get the water to clear up (still a little green) and I have shocked it plenty. I dont know what to do. The chlorine wont stablize and the water wont clear up. PLEASE HELP!
We just bought a house in MI with a 16×32 inground pool. I am getting ready to buy chemicals for it. The pool has an automatic chlorinator and I am wondering whether or not to buy 3″ or 1″ tabs or the sticks or whatever else there is. Also how many pounds of chlorine will I go through in the summer running the pump for 12 hours a day. Any other pool tips or chemical advice would be greatly appreciated.
any tips/advice on how to improve this? what did you like, what didnt you like?

As I approached my unsteady locker I could hear Daniela’s booming voice above all the other ruckus. It came closer and closer until I could hear it blaring down my eardrum.
“Hey! Lola!”
“Hi,” I said in the most depressing tone you can think of, I wouldn’t be surprised if she thought my cat had died.
“Having another bad day?”
“Yeah, you could say that.”
“Hurry up and put your books away, the spaghetti’s almost sold out,” I could sense her inching towards the cafeteria as she spoke.
I put my books away and opened the front pocket of my bag, where earlier today I had placed five dollars. But the only thing I found was a rubber band, a paper clip and an empty chip packet. I looked in the middle pocket, couldn’t find it. I did a quick search of my jacket, but all the pockets were empty. I did a double check of my bag, but it was still nowhere to be found.
“Do you think you could buy me lunch today Dani? I lost my lunch money again.”
“Yeah whatever, just hurry up!”

“Yeah whatever, just hurry up!”
I knew not to mess with her when she was hungry, so I slammed the loose door shut and did a fast-walk shuffle thing to catch up with her. The line was backed up all the way to the patio outside, and nearly into the hall on the other side.
“Dani, I’m not waiting in that! By the time we reach the counter lunch will be over. Let’s just go mooch some food off of Calvin.”
Calvin was the fattest kid in school. I don’t think you really understand the term ‘obese’ until you set eyes on him. Sometimes I felt a bit sorry for him, but at least it meant he always had food for us. Every lunch he would sit by the oval, watching all the jocks playing football. You could see by the way he looked at them that he longed to be like them, to have their tone abs, long muscular legs, strong arms and their irresistible hair.
I have an interview at Schliterbahn Wednesday, and I just wanted to know what they ask you?
Im also going to be pool cleaning
I have calcium rings on my tile that I can’t get rid of, tried almost everything. I talked to the pool company & they said they can do glass beading & the tiles will look like new again.
Is there somewhere I can rent a machine that does this? If I hire someone, it’ll cost $3.25 per foot. I tried tile gel but it’s messy.
If you have time plz help me…any info close to my topic would be a tremendous help!!
we all know it is a global and local issue as well.
i am not talking about serious steps, but things, like not leaving water running while brushing teeth or shaving, or ablution?
also, i noticed that almost everyone moving to a villa today, gotta small swimming pool. i think serious tax should be imposed on them.
Lincoln: if you are really concerned about water, then you better stop drinking and drink mineral water instead. For each bottle of wine, you need 270 L of water. (to grow, water and clean grape crops)
http://www.abc.net.au/water/stories/s1881031.htm
Soul, Mintee, alhumdellah, skaka: great efforts, i think we all should do that.
One of people misconception is Ablution. Good ablution does not need a lot of water, but many people almost take a shower instead.
Dear Mirza: This is great news as it will solve water pressure in jeddah. But, the scarce water is global issue. And Saudi will suffer more about it in future.
More than 90% of water goes to industry and farms.
By 2016, no wheat farms will be existing in Saudi. Saudi is investing in big wheat farms outside Saudi.
I know some industries are looking for recycling units to preserve water, including my company. This is a big big saver.
The tiles are a bit like the ones you get at a swimming pool.
looking rather gruby
We drained our pool and want to paint it, but the tile is coverd under layers of calcium…we’ve been knocking it off with a chisel for days now, does anyone have a simpliar solution, i’ve used tile cleaner but that doesnt work!
Ok, YOur all crazy. Years ago working in a vets office in northern calif, we had to remove maggots from wounds on dogs they recieved from attacks by wild pigs, so aside from the wounds being gross we had to pick out all the maggots, we tossed them in the big metal sink poured bleach and rinsed away.. Moral of story, I am well aware the difficulty of killing maggots… Which brings us to 26 years later
My daughter informs me that there are maggots from our kitchen trash (having cancer I don’t always get it out daily) but it never goes more than two days before hitting dumpster.
So the maggots are all around the trash can, along the floor board by the wall and creeping into the carpet area connected to the tile kitchen floor.
First I try bleach knowing that is what almost worked years ago, well they just crawled through it.
second I got out the rubbing alcohol, poured some of that to which they just wiggled a little faster.
So now its nearly 2:am the source of maggots removed but trying to catch and kill all the guys that fled so I decide to do a Experiment since daughter home schools I figured somewhere down the line she could use this as a project.
Okay so I get out some plastic picnic bowls.
1.bleach
2.vinegar
3.alcohol
4.Raid Flying insect spray which I directly sprayed into bowl in order to get a nice 1/2 cup of fluid from
5.I mixed Rock salt with Hot water
6.Paul mitchell Freeze and shine hair spray (poured from the pump stle bottle).
So I gathered with a tweezers maggots putting a few in each bowl.
thinking surely this will best tell me what will kill them and then I can finaly get to sleep.
Ok, Well the maggots thought they were on vacation, they all thrived, danced and lived in each of the bowls for over an hour.
The bleach took 2 hours and 46 minutes to kill the maggotts
The vinegar they were still swimming 4 hours and 16 minutes later
The alcohol they died (In bowl of alcohol) 9 minutes
Raid flying insect after 4 hours and 16 minutes I was bored with the whole maggot issue and flushed the happy healthy strong very alive swimmers down the toilet.
Rock salt and Hot water Again after 4 hours and 16 minutes they to were sent swirling down the toilet happy strong and still swimming, (by now the water was not hot) the hot water only temporarily stunned them as the water cooled they come alive.
Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine After 3 hours and 2 minutes they died.
So it was with great excitement that I poured a bottle of rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle to spray the remaining maggots relieved that in just moments I could finaly go to bed with the maggots dead, the trash can clean and a fresh bag inside of it And finaly the 100% best working remedy to come post on the internet to solve all the maggot problems of the world.
JOKES ON ME…
When spraying the alcohol onto the maggots they are momentarily stunned but as the alcohol (now being delivered through a spray bottle VS a pool of liquid in a bowl)
The alcohol evaporates to quickly to kill the maggots!
THE GOOD NEWS-my daughter has a great experiment to file away for use of future assignment.
THE BAD NEWS- Aside from Squishing to death, NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING kills those little monsters.
I have determined that the USA has a weapon safer and more effective than a nuclear bomb and we should be stock piling them for the govt, or better yet just have a number thats 24 hours to call and have the govt come retrieve the lil monsters and store.
Thanks for the great chicken leg idea, And yes I’m well aware of eliminating the source, Which I did, But a bunch of those monsters were escaping the trash can (with a trash bag in it) and those were the guys I was trying to kill. As I said it became more an experiment.
As for keeping things clean, My house is clean but my garbage is not clean ‘hence its garbage.
Thanks for the great ideas and I am getting sevin dust this afternoon,
My science homework is to define strong, diluted and concentrated acids, and the same for alkalines. I googled it, but most of the answers are scientific gobbledeegook that don’t make sense to me. Could you explain it as simply as you can? Thanks so much. The first answer gets best answer. Unless the first answer is wrong, in which case it does not
My mom is very hard to get a present for. She doesn’t like jewelry and doesn’t really use electronics. This year my parents made an “agreement” that they wouldn’t buy anything for each other or for me but my mother already got something for my dad and me and my dad think she deserves to get something because she has done so much for us. We thought about buying her a spa day and cleaning the house up for her while she’s there. I was wondering if you thought that would be a good idea. Thank you!

Also need the spa drained, cleaned and filled
I will be going to visit family in Columbus, New Mexico soon and I have to drive there. I was wondering if anyone knew how long it might take. I live in Orange County. Or if anyone knows a good way to figure out how long it would take? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
My question is can you make the water in your automatic swimming pool cleaner’s pipes spiral. Speeding up water flow, greater suction power, faster automatic swimming pool cleaner, a turning force is created on the swimming pool pipes.
The automatic swimming pool cleaner will be able to turn itself out of tight spots.
The blue tiles between/connecting the pool and spa are dull.
I don’t know if a chemical/polish could to used, due to the water overflowing on these certain tiles when the pool pump is on.
I have a pool cleaner at the house and I am afraid that there is some debris somewhere in the cleaner that is clogging it and keeping it from its regular functions. It is moving fairly slowly and is obviously showing signs of not having enough water pressure. I am completely naive to the parts etc. Any help would be great. Thanks.
draining our salt pool and there’s the calcium ring up top. what’s the best (and least elbow grease) way to clean this stuff?

We live in N Texas and are under drought conditions and water restrictions, so draining is not an option. I have noticed rust stains [small but worrisome] on the bottom. No it is not algae or anything of that nature, and I have scrubbed them off only to have them come back in a few days. Is there a patching compound that can be used under water to shore these areas up?
Due to a near miss with our deep fat fryer this afternoon, the grout between the tiles on my kitchen floor is very dark where the hot oil spillage has stained it I have scrubbed and scrubbed, cilit bang first, then fairy liquid in very hot water but it isn’t shifting. Does anyone know of a product or an old fashioned tip that can get the grout looking back to normal?
Thanks.

I’m looking for an automatic pool cleaner to save time, does this cleaner work? It normally retails for around $400 and it is on sale for $200. Is it worth the money?
I am looking to obtain a business license in Orange County Ca. Do I fill out the necessary paperwork at the OC County Courthouse? City Hall? Any help would be appreciated.
I have green algae which I get every year in my swimming pool. I thought I had green algae killer at home but it black algae killer. Do you think it is ok to use this black algae killer in the hopes it will work the same and prevent the green from coming back? I guess it won’t hurt to throw it in the pool?
I’m starting a new Pool Cleaning business and want to make it appealing. Please choose one that will appeal to you. Thanks.

Do you think it is ok to use this black algae killer in the hopes it will work the same and prevent the green from coming back? I guess it won’t hurt to throw it in the pool?
This just got posted in science/ecology, too.
This all started b/c I have two boxes of fridge baking soda, used, but I don’t want to dump it b/c…
I had this crazy hippie stepmother who taught me to save the earth, back in 1989.

PS, Can you tell I just woke up? THis may not sound so clear, but I think you get it, right?
I am extremely bored as I have had 6 weeks off school so I decided to do a sorta spa thing and pamper myself. How can I make some products such as face masks cuz I haven’t got any in the house? Also, has anyone got some ideas to get rid of boredom in other ways?
I’m planning on moving to Orange County and I was wondering what public transportation was like. I might be able to get a car, but with gas prices and insurance and what not, I was hoping to get away without having a car.
Any advice in starting a pool service would be helpful.
Marble floor is a natural stone that’s cut and polished to make building materials. It’s attractive and durable and comes in a variety of colors, Marble tiles are frequently used inside the home in bathrooms, kitchens and foyers. Outside uses include patios and pool decks. Marble is porous, stains easily and can be etched by acidic foods or cleansers. Caring for marble tiles is easy if you take steps to prevent stains and damage from occurring Instructions
Things You’ll Need Coasters Place mats Furniture pads Plant stands Dust mop Area rugs Dish washing detergent Stone cleaners Rust remover Squeegee Ammonia Marble wax Bleach Marble polishing powder
1.Use coasters for glasses and place mats under dishes and silverware. Acids from drinks or food can etch the surface and dishware can scratch the surface. Clean up spills immediately with a clean rag or paper towel.
2.Put pads under the legs of furniture that sits on marble tile and put houseplants on stands or decorative bases. Don’t spill water on the marble when you tend the plants.
3.Dust mop marble tile floors. Keep the dust mop clean and do not use spray-on dust treatments on the mop. Use rugs in high traffic areas or at the entrances to rooms with marble floors. Make sure the moving parts in your vacuum cleaner aren’t worn. Worn parts may scratch the surface.
4.Clean surfaces with mild dish washing detergent mixed in warm, not hot, water, or use commercially available stone cleaners. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry the marble with a soft cloth.
5.Remove rust stains with a commercial rust remover. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, but don’t leave the rust remover on for any longer than it takes to remove the stain.
6.Use a squeegee on marble surfaces in the bathroom after each use. Remove soap scum with a mixture of 1/2 cup ammonia and 1 gallon of water. Using ammonia too often can dull the surface, so practice preventive cleaning.
7.Apply marble wax to vanity tops to minimize water spots. Make sure that the marble has been sealed by the installer in both bathrooms and kitchens.
8.Rinse outdoor pool decks and patios with clear water. Use a mixture of 1/4 cup household bleach in 1 gallon of water to remove algae and moss around the pool.
9.Remove etch or scratch marks by first cleaning the surface, wetting it and then adding marble polishing powder. Use a clean, damp cloth to rub the powder into the Etched area. Continue rubbing until the etching disappears. You may need a professional if the etching is severe.

Thanks for the great ideas and I am getting sevin dust this afternoon,
We drained our pool and want to paint it, but the tile is coverd under layers of calcium…we’ve been knocking it off with a chisel for days now, does anyone have a simpliar solution, i’ve used tile cleaner but that doesnt work!

Do you think it is ok to use this black algae killer in the hopes it will work the same and prevent the green from coming back? I guess it won’t hurt to throw it in the pool?
This is a serious problem that we have tried everything to get rid of! The most effective thing I have done is scrape it with razor blade….but takes way too long and if not careful scratches the tile. Wouldn’t try it on the granite though.
My bathroom has yellow tiles from the middle of it’s walls to the floor, what colors can I combine to make it look better (since I have to deal with them any how).
They look lke this: http://www.oddlyenoughmosaics.com/images/Ceramic%20-%20C111%20Yellow.JPG
I’m planning on moving to Orange County and I was wondering what public transportation was like. I might be able to get a car, but with gas prices and insurance and what not, I was hoping to get away without having a car.
I need a pool cleaner but I also want my pool deck cleaned once per month. I live in Phoenix, thanks.
I really need to move out soon and i want to stay in orange county. All the apartments I have looked at so far are over $1,000 a month, and i cant afford that. Does anyone know of an apartment complex that is in a nice community and has low rent?
We have one of those 3 ft inflatable pools, we’ve treated it with pool shocker 4 in 1, the spa tablets, and even clean the filter everyday with bleach. But the pool is still green, what’s wrong and how do we fix it.
And why?
I’m looking to relocate from San Gabriel Valley to Orange County. What is the average price for a rental? What about homes for sale? WHat would be better for a family of 4 with an income of about $5000/ month?
I have a normal sized spa and I would like to clean my spa without using chemicals because I tend to get rashes. Any ideas on a more natural product?
I have calcium rings on my tile that I can’t get rid of, tried almost everything. I talked to the pool company & they said they can do glass beading & the tiles will look like new again.
Is there somewhere I can rent a machine that does this? If I hire someone, it’ll cost $3.25 per foot. I tried tile gel but it’s messy.

I am starting a pool and spa cleaning business. Because it is just starting, it is considered a home based business. I am not going to have any employees so do I need any kind of federal or state tax numbers? I know I will have to pay taxes on the business, so how do I set that up? I have looked online and on the IRS website, but I am hoping someone can explain this in lamens terms. Thanks
It looks like I need to replace the ozonator in my spa. The dealer says that if I don’t buy a new insert the sun and moon night align and baby puppies will die. What is the danger in not replacing the ozonator?
Well I have cream porcelain tiles and every time i mop they become a mess…I have tried all kinds of cleaning agents but to no avail….I need help on how to get my tiles shiny anytime i sweep and mop them…..Thanks
I am babysitting my little cousins (6 and
with my 2 other cousins. We want to do a fun spa with them, but don’t have much money to spend. What are some spa scrubs or lotions that we can make at home with household items?
We’re redoing our backyard and trying to choose pool tile. We’re doing stacked stone on the spa so we want a linear tile around the pool for continuity. We found one we really like that’s a mixture of glass and Basalt, but keep getting different answers. Some say stone is bad because it gets damaged when they add acid to level the ph, others say it’s no big deal and if anything, there might be some calcium deposits. What’s the real answer?
Personally, I think stone is used way too much for it to be an issue. Entire pools and copings are made of stone, and they do make coping out of Basalt too. Pool guys can drip acid on there, and water constantly gets splashed out of the pool, so I think if it was that big of an issue they wouldn’t use it.
Anybody really know the answer?
Thanks for the answer Mike. Just to be clear, I’m talking about the tile itself that goes IN the pool. It goes up to the waterline, not under water but definitely gets wet. This is what we’re looking at: http://www.dune.es/productos/ficha.asp?idproducto=439
Still think it’s ok?
This is a serious problem that we have tried everything to get rid of! The most effective thing I have done is scrape it with razor blade….but takes way too long and if not careful scratches the tile. Wouldn’t try it on the granite though.
My wifes keeps asking me this question and I don´t have the answer. After the summer where everyone uses their pool and the bitterly cold arrives. What happens to the pools that were filled with water during the summer. ? What happens to the pool tiles? If the water stays in, doesn’t it freeze clogging the pipes? What exactly happens? What do people do?
The blue tiles between/connecting the pool and spa are dull.
I don’t know if a chemical/polish could to used, due to the water overflowing on these certain tiles when the pool pump is on.
My bathroom tile is a dark brown with black grout- it is such a great combination, but now looks awful because of the nasty soap scum that has accumulated. I’ve (unsuccessfully) tried spraying Lysol Bathroom cleaner on the tile, letting it sit for a few minutes, then scrubbing it with a scrub brush. Any other suggestions to remove it (that you know work)?
Thank you!
I dont want to remove the tiles because it is expensive. I have used a epoxica paint (the paint took off a little bit) after that I used swimming pool paint but is too dry for a bathroom and it seems dirty all the time. So… what can I do? I dont want to spend much money to remove them.
Help me please.
Getting everything together to drain a swimming pool and blast the extremely bad calcium line off of the pebbletec. Which would better, the medium or large grade soda media?
Also, I’m guessing that the soda would remove the glaze off of the tile line, whats a good product to remove the calcium off of tile without damaging it?
Thanks!
Is it because the sea is the reflection of the sky?
Thats what I wondered.
But then I realized if drinking water was a reflection, it would reflect the many colors of what surrounds it.
So why does sea water look blue – but drinking water clear?
I know the Dogwood tree is, but it does not grow in Orange County, California. I tried a Yahoo search, but was met with negative results.
They just always seem to stay gray and grimy looking no matter what I do. the bathtub is about 15 years old.
like to have them cleaned as they are original to the house
Presently, I use a pumice stone which was sold to me by a pool store. What alot of unnecessary hard labor! There must be an easier solution. So far everything that I’ve been told to try has failed. Who knows what will work? Please no wives-tales!
Can some of them cause a bad chemical reaction…put off deadly fumes, destroy tile, etc…? I always use Clorox Clean-Up, Clorox Wipes, etc…
We drained our pool and want to paint it, but the tile is coverd under layers of calcium…we’ve been knocking it off with a chisel for days now, does anyone have a simpliar solution, i’ve used tile cleaner but that doesnt work!

We have tried to fix the problem, but once in a while when we get a lot of rain, it floods. I am moving my office area down there, and it is a pain to move my big desk when it floods. Is there anything I can do to build a platform to prevent flooding in my office and if so, what kind of materials should I use?

Why do hotels in Anaheim, California and most of Orange County like the Doubletree and Embassy Suites refuse to hire blacks and only hire Hispanics for hard labor and whites for prestigious positions? But they totally leave out blacks?
Just wondering if somebody can please tell me how much I should expect (approximately) for monthly pool service for a 60,000 gallon pool.
Thanks
We use chlorine to keep the spa clean; have tried bromine but I itch terribly for days. What is a home remedy for itching & suggestions for ? converting the spa to salt water maybe?

What type of mortar do I use underwater in a swimming pool.
what type of grout do I use underwater in a swimming pool.
do you have any photos of a natural broken slte swimming pool.
My husband and I are starting a pool service/cleaning business. He will be the only employee. Do we need any type of insurance to start this business?
Please let me know what your swimming pool cost to install and what type and size it is.

I just bought a new home in north Phoenix with a pool and was wondering what I canexpect to pay for pool service. Also what does this normaly include? Is this weekley service? And other info aboutowing a pool would be appreciated, other than “it’s a pain” already heard that 100X……
Since less chemical treatment is necessary during the winter , does the price go down for our pool service ? Our pool guy comes once a week and no one really uses the pool during the winter months . Right now we pay 80 dollars a month. Does this seem a little high for a small pool and a spa ?
My science homework is to define strong, diluted and concentrated acids, and the same for alkalines. I googled it, but most of the answers are scientific gobbledeegook that don’t make sense to me. Could you explain it as simply as you can? Thanks so much. The first answer gets best answer. Unless the first answer is wrong, in which case it does not
I have been in the pool almost every day for the past month -not knowing there was a dead pigeon in there in the skimmer basket .
We just bought a house with a pool that is 40 years old. The calcium deposits are too! A pool specialist told us to use Muriatic acid to clean. How long is it left on? What is the dilution? HELP!
I am wondering what is the best pool cleaner for a fiberglass pool, i have heard many different opinions from stores trying to sell their products, some say baracuda X7 is the best then another store said no way for a fiberglass pool, that i should use polaris. Anyone have any input? what are my options?
I’m planning to visit my friends in Orange County and I’ve looked around online and I have to take the metrolink there. I don’t want to pay the cab because I know it’s going to cost a lot and I don’t know how much metrolink cost. I can go to Union Station really easy so I want to know how much it will cost from Union Station to Orange County
Thank you!

im 13 and trying to write a story, heres a bit of the prologue (its not finished yet) and a couple of paragraphs of my first chapter
please give me some advice and tips on how to improve
My legs throbbed as I slapped the swimming pool wall with both hands. I was lightheaded, gasping for every last bit of air, as I looked over to see which position I had placed. Everyone else was not only already out of the pool, but drying off by the sidelines. Their glaring eyes caused a numbing sense of humiliation. I gathered up my remaining strength to try and climb out of the pool, arms wobbly from the exertion. They shook and trembled, as I failed to leave the pool on the first attempt.
As I sunk under the surface my embarrassment and rage took over and I forced myself out of the pool on the second try, staggering to where my trainer stood. His heavyset body and ruffled black hair was all a blur to me. As I moved closer and closer to him, arms crossed over his chest, I could feel my nerves building up, I felt as though I was approaching Hitler after I had just lost a battle. My nerves got the best of me and before I knew it I was bent over the sickening white linoleum tiles with my mouth tasting like the beef lasagne I had for lunch. What I saw on the floor also looked like the lasagne that only an hour before was sitting on my plate , it was just missing the little basil leaf on top.
Chapter 1
The next day didn’t go so well either. I was late for English, got almost every answer on my maths Pop Quiz wrong and got partnered up with Jeanie McBride for biology. Jeanie McBride wasn’t the sort of girl you wanted to get partnered up with for anything, she was uncoordinated in PE, inaudible in drama, didn’t have any imagination in English and when it came to Math she was so brainy that none of us could keep up with her and her lunchbox reeked. It smelled like the fridge when it hasn’t been cleaned out for months. Little wafts of toxic sandwiches drifted past my nostrils every time she reached out to grab a test tube. When the ring of the lunch bell deafened my ears, the saying ‘Saved by the bell’ popped into my head. I really was saved by the bell, if I had spent no more than five more minutes intoxicated with her stench I would be passed out on the bio floor. I grabbed my things and almost bulldozed everyone over as I plunged for the door, desperate to inhale the fresh air.

I’m buying a house with a pool/spa, and won’t have the knowledge or time to maintain it myself. How much does pool service cost on average? Does the price include chemicals, or does the homeowner have to supply chemicals? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
We drained our pool and want to paint it, but the tile is coverd under layers of calcium…we’ve been knocking it off with a chisel for days now, does anyone have a simpliar solution, i’ve used tile cleaner but that doesnt work!
I’m looking for an automatic pool cleaner to save time, does this cleaner work? It normally retails for around $400 and it is on sale for $200. Is it worth the money?
not that i have anything against it but its just that for some reasons, i hate tiles. i dunno if it is considered a phobia but i just find it gross cause it always look dirty no matter how hard you clean it. those black and orange thing in between the gap spaces and stuff and sometimes there are these black spots or slight cracks in the tiles. it just looks so dirty.
i never put my feet in contact with a single tile and that is also why i hate swimming pool.. maybe its a phobia after all. am i the only one who thinks like this? no offending responses please.. and back to my quetion, why always tiles when they are hard to clean and always look dirty? why not just use marble or the flooring thats similar to bed room or living room? looks more pleasant and easier to clean?
looking forward for some serious answers! thanks a lot in advance.
I have what appears like heavy calcium build up on my pool tiles. What is the best product to use to remove it.
OK, it might be calcium and lime… What heavy duty product is there that works fast and can cut through this chalky muck?
Presently, I use a pumice stone which was sold to me by a pool store. What alot of unnecessary hard labor! There must be an easier solution. So far everything that I’ve been told to try has failed. Who knows what will work? Please no wives-tales!
I got my first phone and it was defective. I got the second phone and it was alright except I was on the phone with their customer service for over an hour for them to figure out how to do the phone number transfer. They put me on the hold for who knows how many times and every single issue came up, they had to talk to their “supervisor”.
I was just wondering how are your experiences ?
my house is 3 years old my husband put tile and the grout is dark beige, i told him to put sealant but he was too lazy to do it. now they are dark in the heavy area and still light brown or dark beige in the none traffic, what will be a good product to use to clean the grout.

Do you pay for the month up front, then they service for the time you paid? Or do they service the pool for a month, then expect payment at the end of the month? What would be customary for swimming pool service?
tiles at the top of my pool have fallen off, these tiles are in the water. what is best or suggested adhesive to reinstall them?
My wifes keeps asking me this question and I don´t have the answer. After the summer where everyone uses their pool and the bitterly cold arrives. What happens to the pools that were filled with water during the summer. ? What happens to the pool tiles? If the water stays in, doesn’t it freeze clogging the pipes? What exactly happens? What do people do?

Getting everything together to drain a swimming pool and blast the extremely bad calcium line off of the pebbletec. Which would better, the medium or large grade soda media?
Also, I’m guessing that the soda would remove the glaze off of the tile line, whats a good product to remove the calcium off of tile without damaging it?
Thanks!
We love in South Carolina. The soil is red clay. While everything was being installed, red clay stained some of the tiles. I haven’t tried to clean it with anything yet because I am worried about getting it into the pool. Any suggestions?
I’m looking to relocate from San Gabriel Valley to Orange County. What is the average price for a rental? What about homes for sale? WHat would be better for a family of 4 with an income of about $5000/ month?

Make a list of fifteen things that can be reused or recycled ??
The grouting found in DIY shops requires 14 days curing before the tiles can be immersed in water.I do not want to keep my in ground swimming pool empty for a prolonged period.
I live in orange county california and i dont know were to get certified or how much it costs.
Thanks.
I have washed glazed tiles with HCL, as they were smeared with cement during tiling of toillet walls.

I just bought a new home in north Phoenix with a pool and was wondering what I canexpect to pay for pool service. Also what does this normaly include? Is this weekley service? And other info aboutowing a pool would be appreciated, other than “it’s a pain” already heard that 100X……
Thank you!

I’m building a home soon and I am designing my own floor plan. I need to make sure I’ve thought of everything. What would you change about your home if you could. For instance, I would not put my bedroom right next to my living room. And I want all hard floors. No carpets. What else is there?
Thanx Popsfav. I never thought of the positive stuff, things you like. lol I’ll ask as second question for that. My house is going to be made out of steel. It will be very unique and cheap as all getout in comparission (shipping containers are on a discound as we have SO MANY!! LOL) so some of your like stuff won’t work for me. But its all good.

Let me know if i need to rephrase myself.
Anything helps, Thank you

I realize that it’s a nasty question but I’m about to have my baby in two months and I just got rid of a bunch of cats. I mean, tons! But there’s cat urination stuck under the tiles in the living room, dining room, pool table room, other dining room and kitchen. We’ve started pulling up the kitchen tile but man oh man, getting that glue up is a big job! I’m not sure if it will be done in two months and the urination smell trapped underneith the tiles is awful. As long as she sits on clean surfaces, ect., will she be okay?
My family and i are thinking about replacing our floor tile this year and putting in something nice. How difficult is it to take out the old tile. What would I do with the tile once it is pulled up? Order a construction dumpster? And do we have to pull up the base board?
I have seen it done on DIY network, doesn’t look that difficult and seems like we could save money. And any suggestions on good looking tile that we could get cheap, maybe an outlet store.
What’s the difficulty level: beginner, intermediate or expert.
I’m gonna apply for a janitorial position and i’ve never really done floor cleaning before. And so I was wondering is it hard to use the equipment? or learn to use the equipment? or is it pretty simple? I know there’s many different kinds of floor cleaning equipment too.. thanks.

I’ve (unsuccessfully) tried spraying Lysol Bathroom cleaner on the tile, letting it sit for a few minutes, then scrubbing it with a scrub brush. Any other suggestions to remove it (that you know work)?
Thank you!

We are planning to rent a house with a pool which we have looked at many and some say “pool service included” but this house in particular says “chemical’s only”. Is it that much more for cleaning or more trouble to do cleaning on our own? We haven’t signed a lease yet so I just want to make sure we are fully aware of what we are getting into.

Thanks for the great ideas and I am getting sevin dust this afternoon,
What do people here usually pay? If the cleaner sets aside one day a week for our house it doesn’t seem fair to just pay an hourly wage. We want the house cleaned weekly even when we are away. In which case they may only need to clean for two or three hours.
We have a large house with plants to water, outdoor and indoor kitchens, outdoor laundry, pool tiles, pool furniture, glass pool fence, large balconies, 4 bedrooms, 2 offices, large gym, 2 large living rooms, tiny game-room, small sitting room. We are out of the country a lot and so for much of the year they would not need to do a lot indoors. We want a couple or one person not a service so that may be more expensive. We don’t want a service as the cleaner/s will need to enter the house when we are gone, and know security codes etc.
Also are you legally required to tell cleaners about security cameras etc. in Australia?
We have a lot of very expensive art and a few museum quality artifacts. We would worry about people we didn’t know (such as cleaners working through an agency having keys, alarm remotes and codes) I have been quoted $120AU per week from one couple plus $450AU for a one time complete clean incuding exterior and interior. I am speaking with a woman that owns an agency but still cleans homes herself and may be able to talk her into cleaning ours herself.
Our house is very large and seems to get dusty very quickly. We have a lot of indoor plants that need tending as well. When we are away our house would still be hard work because the outdoor kitchen is exposed and needs cleaning every week.
This just got posted in science/ecology, too.
This all started b/c I have two boxes of fridge baking soda, used, but I don’t want to dump it b/c…
I had this crazy hippie stepmother who taught me to save the earth, back in 1989.
And I agree.
So, what tips can you share with everyone?
PS, Can you tell I just woke up? THis may not sound so clear, but I think you get it, right?

My pool hasn’t been touched for 6 months now. The filter hasn’t been running or anything. All of the water is completely brown/black and I’m pretty sure there are leaves covering the bottom of the pool. It’s an average sized family pool.
How much do you think it would cost me to have a pool cleaning company come clean it and get it to where it’s swimmable again?
I have green algae which I get every year in my swimming pool. I thought I had green algae killer at home but it black algae killer. Do you think it is ok to use this black algae killer in the hopes it will work the same and prevent the green from coming back? I guess it won’t hurt to throw it in the pool?
I was wondering if anyone knows how to clean pool tiles? I have attached/link a picture of my pool tiles below. They have a brown color deposit on them and i can;t remove it. I tried using CLR, Leslie’s Tile Cleaner and Pumice Stone. Nothing seems to work well. If there is a method that I can do to clean them, what procedure is it called and how expensive is it? What are those brown stuff? its not calcium deposits, right? I am in the middle of draining my pool, cos Leslie’s said water in the pool is too hard and I need to empty the half of pool and fill with fresh water. I would like to use this opportunity to clean the tiles if possible. Any help is much appreciated.

Usually when I am swimming in a pool I can smell the chlorine. There is a weekly pool service here. I do not smell chlorine though the water has been cleaned since algae infection.. I have a floating dispenser for chlorine tabs with one in there.. Is it enough .
On the description of the my parents and I are moving into, it says new salt water pool cleaner, I’m curious if it means the pool is salt water or if it is more complex. Thanks for taking the time for answering.
smooches!
kelsi
I meant to say the house I am moving into and is the cleaner more complex?
The blue tiles between/connecting the pool and spa are dull.
I don’t know if a chemical/polish could to used, due to the water overflowing on these certain tiles when the pool pump is on.
Any differences whatsover!I’m desperate!

I heard irvine is the sagest place to live but expensive.
Since i dont live there i wouldnt know what the atmosphere is like. If you have any tips and suggestions please feel free to comment.

We have one of those 3 ft inflatable pools, we’ve treated it with pool shocker 4 in 1, the spa tablets, and even clean the filter everyday with bleach. But the pool is still green, what’s wrong and how do we fix it.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me. I own a commercial cleaning company and have recently purchased a floor scrubber similair I was wondering what kind of solution or method I should use in order to get the grout dirt up and the dirt in the crevices . Also , maybe a brush attachment I should use on the tile. Ive been told using diluted pool acid would do the trick but I would like a different opinion. Here is an example of the tile. http://images02.olx.com/ui/2/96/52/22309452_1.jpg
And here is an image of my scrubber

The sounds of summer surround the atmosphere in the backyard of my house in Lowell. There is a shabby, old swing set left from the people who had owned this house before us. The hinges are rusty, the swing seats are cracking, and bee’s nests adorn the underside of the slide. A scent of the city is unmistakable and mixed with the smell of pear tree and cut grass. The sky is a perfect shade of light blue with very few clouds. I feel a slight breeze wisp around and whisper my name.
Maxi boy sits beside his large dog house as he protects our yard. The large, stereotypical red food bowl with his name printed in yellow is placed in the front of the house and is filled to the brim every morning. Father lounges outside on a white lawn chair and tosses Maxi boy’s rubber cheeseburger across the lawn towards the neighbor’s tomato garden. Mom is inside cleaning the antique two floor house. The floors creak, dust is collecting everywhere, and some of the furniture is older than my parents, but this is still our ideal home.
A young woman whose name I can never seem to remember lives next door and teaches music. The hundreds of instruments all play at once in a symphony of sounds that one might consider, “useless noise”. I always visit her house at the same time each week where we drink cool lemonade and she plays an accordion one week, a guitar the next, a piano the week after that, and so on. She is my inspiration to sing and learn piano, yet I still don’t remember her name no matter how hard I try. I can only remember her many instruments, her long, curly, and dark hair, and her pale white skin.
My parents are both so young and beautiful, but I see right through the façade. My Mom and I are so alike physically and my Father and I are alike personality-wise. Mom steps out of my view and appears from the old white steps on the side of her house. Her blonde, curly hair bounces around her freckle face. She hands my father a glass of water and runs her fingers through his short, dark hair and smiles her pearly white smile at him. I always notice that her teeth are a little crooked, just like mine.
Father attempts a smile of his own, but I can tell that he is worried. He’s always worried for a reason I’m not sure, and Mom has always been light and easy-going. Mom notices his worry, and I can see hurt pierce her luminescent blue eyes. She touches his pale face and beckons to me. I ignore his anxiety and her sadness and jump off of the rusty swing set to follow Mom into the ancient house.
“Cheyenne, what do you want for lunch?”, Mom asks as we enter the kitchen.
The floor has a small white tiling that is cracking and the walls are peeling wallpaper. A vintage radio player sits on a table to the right of the door and the counters are to the left by the fridge and the oil stove. I can hear chirping coming from the vent above the stove and so I discover a bird’s nest caught behind the vent. Mom wants to make lunch, probably something on the stove. I gasp and realize that I will have to set up several birdie funerals if she does.
“Mom, could you maybe not cook today? There are birds in there.”
I point quickly to the vent and jump up and down. Mom smiles and replies, “Alright Honey. I’ll make sandwiches. Go get your bathing suit on upstairs. I put it on your bed.”
I smile back and say, “Okay Mom! Thanks!”
We had just gotten a kiddy pool yesterday and I picked the colorful fish pattern. Running out of the kitchen excitedly, I make my way towards the front of the house, and up the chipped stairs. I can’t even count how many times I have gotten a sliver on these same stairs. Not that I can count that much at all, at least not past twenty.
When I finally reach the top of the stairs, a grandfather clock is against the sand colored wall staring at me. I shudder and run down the hallway into my small bedroom. The rugs that were once white are now gray and the bureau that was once shiny and new is now dull and old. My favorite bathing suit is on the cot across the room. I have a Lion King sleeping bag as my comforter and an Aladdin pillow. Taking the bathing suit, I prance back down the hallway into the bathroom and close the door behind me.
I wash the dirt off of my hands from the swing set and stand on my tip-toes to check for dirt on my face in the circular mirror. I have hair and skin like my Mom and eyes like my father, a peculiar type of golden brown. With my blue polka dot hand me down bathing suit on I slowly make my way down the hazardous stairs and skip into the kitchen with a huge smile on my face. My bologna and cheese sandwich sits delicately on my favorite green dinosaur plate. Just as I’m about to bite, the familiar ring of the house phone sounds and I sneak into the living room to pick up the phone while Mom comes into the house to answer the other one in the kitchen.
The phone is a dull yellow and has little Blue’s Clues stickers on it from the coloring book I got for
oops! yahoo cut my story off! (: if anyone wants the rest i can send it via email! thanks ! (:

I’m planning on moving to Orange County and I was wondering what public transportation was like. I might be able to get a car, but with gas prices and insurance and what not, I was hoping to get away without having a car.
I am thinking about working out in Orange County for more pay. I currently live in San Bernardino and want to know how bad is the traffic in the morning and in the evening. If it’s really bad, how long is the train ride on the metrolink? Any info will help a lot towards my decision.
Pressure cleaning, pool renovation, bathroom tiling, etc…
I’m looking to relocate from San Gabriel Valley to Orange County. What is the average price for a rental? What about homes for sale? WHat would be better for a family of 4 with an income of about $5000/ month?

I’m looking for an automatic pool cleaner to save time, does this cleaner work? It normally retails for around $400 and it is on sale for $200. Is it worth the money?
I work as a housekeeper and the new hotel I’m working at has years old stubborn pink stains which I assume is mould. I have tried industrial strength cleaners such as bleach, alcohol based cleaning products, Shower Power, etc. (with a lot of scrubbing) but nothing seems to work! I’ve heard of a product called White Wizard which I’m thinking of buying but am not sure if that will work. Please help as I am at the end of my tether.
Thankyou, Sarah
This just got posted in science/ecology, too.

Thanks!
I am extremely bored as I have had 6 weeks off school so I decided to do a sorta spa thing and pamper myself. How can I make some products such as face masks cuz I haven’t got any in the house? Also, has anyone got some ideas to get rid of boredom in other ways?

My wifes keeps asking me this question and I don´t have the answer. After the summer where everyone uses their pool and the bitterly cold arrives. What happens to the pools that were filled with water during the summer. ? What happens to the pool tiles? If the water stays in, doesn’t it freeze clogging the pipes? What exactly happens? What do people do?
draining our salt pool and there’s the calcium ring up top. what’s the best (and least elbow grease) way to clean this stuff?
How do I get rid of the slug just sitting in and on the ground. It is gross and nasty but the ground will not absorbe it. Does it need more clean dirt? A chemical poured into it? Someone please help.

Thank you!
I have green algae which I get every year in my swimming pool. I thought I had green algae killer at home but it black algae killer. Do you think it is ok to use this black algae killer in the hopes it will work the same and prevent the green from coming back? I guess it won’t hurt to throw it in the pool?

My science homework is to define strong, diluted and concentrated acids, and the same for alkalines. I googled it, but most of the answers are scientific gobbledeegook that don’t make sense to me. Could you explain it as simply as you can? Thanks so much. The first answer gets best answer. Unless the first answer is wrong, in which case it does not
I am trying to find a pool service company near Bullhead City, Az. I have tried many of them but either they stop showing up except to get a check or don’t do any work. If anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it.
On the description of the my parents and I are moving into, it says new salt water pool cleaner, I’m curious if it means the pool is salt water or if it is more complex. Thanks for taking the time for answering.
smooches!
kelsi
I meant to say the house I am moving into and is the cleaner more complex?
Getting the spa ready for winter and I have a lot of white buildup on the sides of the spa. Regular cleaners are not getting it done, nor is the spa cleaner my local store stocks (Spa Essentials). Any advice would be appreciated.

The blue tiles between/connecting the pool and spa are dull.
I don’t know if a chemical/polish could to used, due to the water overflowing on these certain tiles when the pool pump is on.
I’m having a very hard time keeping my vct tiles clean. I need to also wax them, there is no wax left on them, just bare tile.Anyone have any helpful ideas to clean them would be very helpful

I have a Red Eared Slider that is about 6 yrs old and 3 in long. I have been keeping him in a 5 gallon tank for 6 yrs (I know) ever since I found him in my swimming pool. I have recently found out that turtles need much bigger tanks, and lots of stuff to keep them happy and healthy. Please tell me exactly what I need for them, and please put together a checklist.
We love in South Carolina. The soil is red clay. While everything was being installed, red clay stained some of the tiles. I haven’t tried to clean it with anything yet because I am worried about getting it into the pool. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the great ideas and I am getting sevin dust this afternoon,
We are renting a house with an in ground pool. It has a Polaris 340 automatic pool cleaner. I have searched everywhere on the net for an owners manual and can’t seem to find one. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Or tell me how to use it?
The morons at ODOT decided to add Calcium Chloride to their road salt mix here in NE Ohio over the winter. It has penetrated the pores in my garage floor and won’t wash out. This stuff is extremely highly corrosive to steel. IT SHOULD BE BANNED and OUTLAWED!!!!! as there are more enviromentally friendly substitutes out there.
I’m gonna apply for a janitorial position and i’ve never really done floor cleaning before. And so I was wondering is it hard to use the equipment? or learn to use the equipment? or is it pretty simple? I know there’s many different kinds of floor cleaning equipment too.. thanks.

I’d like to shape and construct fiberglass surfboards (not epoxy) in the near future here in Huntington Beach, CA. But, a friend told me the other day that he heard there are a lot of zones that don’t allow it here. Is that true? If so, can you guys suggest a website where I could find out exactly where? Thank you for taking time to read this.
I am planning a trip to huntington beach soon to go bodyboarding. The water is likely to be between 66-70 degrees. What will I need to wear? Just a wetsuit top? A wetsuit top with neoprene undershorts? Springsuit? Full wetsuit? If I wear a wetsuit will I also need a rashguard? I would just like some help on what gear I should be wearing in that type of atmosphere. Thanks.
I’m planning on (maybe) going to a concert on the huntington beach pier. The actual concert is free (it’s on the fourth of july, by the way). But that made me think that there must be some kind of admission or something to get there? I don’t know, just wondering.
I went to Huntington Beach last weekend, and it seems the air quality is bad. Either that or the air quality in Santa Barbara is super good. I’m asking, like, what’s the comparison? EX) huntington beach has air quality worse 2 times than santa barbara. i dont know but something like that.
Anyone know a good swimming lesson place for a 20 year old near Huntington Beach, CA? I want to improve my technique and learn how to thread water for a long period of time and get in shape in same time.
I got a job offer in Orange County for $12.50 an hour (full time and some over time offered as well). I have about 10k saved from my previous job (which currently pays more). Its a loan job and there is a lot of room for growth in possibly 6 months or so. I currently live at home with family but want to get out on my own.I was wondering would I be able to survive on my own in a 1 bedroom apartment for that 6 month period or am i delusional that i can make it?
My car is paid off so that is one thing less I have to worry about. Anybody have any insight?
there is a possibility that i may be moving to Huntington Beach and I just want to know what it’s like. I am fourteen and a girl. i want to know what kids do, what are they like, what sports are popular, are the friendly? just everything you can tell me about living there.
What makes Huntington Beach in Orange Co so great and better than the rest of So Cal’s beach towns?
My parents are moving there, and I am planning to join them, so I am just curious. Thanks!

I went to Huntington Beach last weekend, and it seems the air quality is bad. Either that or the air quality in Santa Barbara is super good. I’m asking, like, what’s the comparison? EX) huntington beach has air quality worse 2 times than santa barbara. i dont know but something like that.
Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Venice Beach, Costa Mesa California areas. I want my photo taken on the beach and someone said I needed a permit. They didn’t say where to get it from. Anyone out there have any info on this matter?

I’d like to shape and construct fiberglass surfboards (not epoxy) in the near future here in Huntington Beach, CA. But, a friend told me the other day that he heard there are a lot of zones that don’t allow it here. Is that true? If so, can you guys suggest a website where I could find out exactly where? Thank you for taking time to read this.
I’m going to Huntington Beach tomorrow and I would like to know what the water tempature willbe. I know that the weather will be 75 to 80 degrees F. I’m going to leave at 12 and staying for 5 or 6 hours. So please answer the question so I will know what to except. Thank you!
I’m from London, but I’ll be travelling to New York next month for a week, and I’m then planning to fly to Huntington Beach to visit some friends and family. I was just wondering how long the flight from NYC will be to Huntington?
I’ve decided to reshape my eyebrows so I need to find a place that does good shaping whether it be waxing or threading. Preferably someplace in Huntington Beach but can travel to Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley. Any ideas ladies and perhaps gentlemen??? I have 5 months til my wedding day and I want my eyebrows to be perfectly groomed!
I appreciate it! Thanks!!
Oh okay thanks, HB is pretty far North from La Jolla but thanks anyway.
Anyone have any suggestions for Huntington Beach area?
I’m planning on (maybe) going to a concert on the huntington beach pier. The actual concert is free (it’s on the fourth of july, by the way). But that made me think that there must be some kind of admission or something to get there? I don’t know, just wondering.

Please don’t tell me what mapquest says. I am wondering how bad a morning commute is from Hollywood (sunset blvd) to Huntington beach would be, from people that live in the area.

Where is the closest parking to the fire pits at Huntington Beach, Orange County, CA? Where should I tell people to park?

I’m looking into having a bonfire for my birthday on april 30th. Does huntington beach still have pits? And how early would I have to go to reserve one? I’ve never had or been to a bonfire so I’m not really sure how this works so if someone could give me some advice I would appreciate it
It turns out that Huntington Beach is too far away, does anyone know about Dockweiler beach?
